The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words Ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life.
This is a natural system of medicine that has been passing for 5,000 years. A beautiful tradition stemming from ancient India. It centres on preventing diseases from your inner and outer frameworks, not just for curing them. The indian medicine explores the root causes, and not solely a list of symptoms. Underlining the significant issues you may encounter as a result of feeling unwell; an imbalanced structure.
We invest in health care before getting sick, using a range of refreshing remedies. For example, certain nourishments, routines, massages, acupuncture, herbs and even yoga.
Everything surrounding the science of ayurveda is based on nature; intuition. Using natural abilities and therapies for holistic health. Being able to appreciate this form of medicine requires inner peace, mindful knowledge, fostering self-awareness and addressing any irritation.

The Ayurveda Doshas and Meanings
Ayurveda has a belief that the universe is composed of three energies through their elements.
Vata; air and space.
Pitta; fire and water.
Kapha; water and earth.
Each person has a balance of all three constitutions. Despite this, many beings have an imbalance, and so accordingly, we have a dominant constitution. The goal is to find equilibrium with every Dosha. (To discover more about the Doshas, and understand Ayurveda accompany us in the next journal).
Ayurveda embraces an individual and treats everyone in various manners. A regiment that works for one, may not work for another. Taking care of ourselves daily is also of the essence to Ayurveda. What we eat, how we exercise and sleep, as per our body rhythms, our environment and the climate we are in. Every factor shapes our being.
